I walked home from school and got the shock of my lifetime. I was still a few houses away, but my house looked completely different. I couldn’t quite work out what it was at first, walking faster and faster with every step, anxious to work out what had changed. I got to the front gate and stopped. I looked at everything separately, judged colours and the garden, everything seemed the same, but somehow something made it unrecognisable. It was eating at me. I knew it would be quicker to go inside and ask Mum, so I unlatched the gate and ran into the house. Mum smiled at me when she saw me standing in front of her with a confused look on my face. She asked me if I liked it as she sat down on the couch. I ran over to her and dramatically expressed that I couldn’t figure out what had changed! My overreaction and dramatic gestures made Mum burst into laughter. Unable to talk, she pointed to the table. I walked over and saw a Window repair Melbourne business card on the table. That was it! I ran back outside, leaving Mum in her fit of laughter behind.
I stood out the front and looked at the house. The man from Timber window replacement Melbourne had come and installed the new window. I couldn’t believe I didn’t notice it right away. It was a completely new and different style of window. I took a few steps back to have a better look. I thought it matched in really well with the house and somehow it didn’t look out of place with the other windows. I ran back inside chanting “I love Aluminium windows Melbourne” and jumped on Mum. She burst into laughter again as I tackled her into the couch.
